Service Plumber
St. Joseph’s Construction Company is a sister company to the College of St Joseph the Worker operating in the shared mission of restoring and revitalizing the tri-state area. The Company provides on-the-job training to the students of the College. The Company has a service department that serves the local community.
Job Description:
In this position, the plumbing technician will be responsible for all aspects of the estimation, installation, maintenance, inspection, operation and repair of the plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings. This includes but is not limited to; installing and repairing sinks, toilets and other plumbing fixtures, as well as appliances including dishwashers and garbage disposals.
Experience Required:
2 - 4 years of unsupervised plumbing service experience.
In-depth knowledge of the most common plumbing systems.
Responsibilities:
Estimate and present options for repair or replacement to customers regarding residential and commercial services.
Complete plumbing, drain cleaning and other related residential and commercial service calls.
Serve the clients of the company by expertly servicing customers’ entire plumbing system.
Always perform work with integrity and professionalism. Respecting the customer’s home or place of business and maintaining a clean and orderly work space.
Maintain work vehicle inventory and cleanliness throughout the work week. Vehicle interior and exterior should be clean and neat at all times.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness with invoices, time cards, and other paperwork.
Always be safety conscious both on the job and while driving.
Participate actively in all training exercises and morning meetings.
Train and mentor apprentices while performing accurate repairs and installations.
Requirements:
Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.
Must uphold and live out the orthodox teaching of the Catholic Church.
Must have a good work ethic and show a positive attitude toward the trade and daily work.
Must have the ability to relocate to Steubenville, OH.
Must have the ability to pass a drug screening and background check.
Must adhere to all company policies and processes.
Beneficial Certification/Licenses/Experience:
A journeyman plumbing license or certification from the applicant’s home state.
Backflow testing certification.
Cast in place piping (CIPP) experience.
Experience with inspection and/or leak detection equipment.
Medical gas certification.
Welding certifications.
OSHA 10, 30
